May 6th, 1937

The crash of the German airship Hindenburg in Lakehurst, New Jersey took the lives of 36 people. Herb Morrison was at the scene, recording a report for Chicago radio station WLS to use at later time, when the explosion and fire occurred. Man auctions off his life, sale price disappoints

SYDNEY (Reuters) - A man who put his life up for auction on eBay found it wasn't worth quite as much as he thought when he settled for around A$100,000 (48,000 pounds) less than his target price.
